You will plan risk-based technology audits, review environments from cloud to data management, and provide independent assurance on major projects, driving practical improvements.

The role emphasizes using Power BI, analytics, automation and AI to broaden audit coverage and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Background in IT Audit, Technology Risk or Technology Assurance with end-to-end review experience.
• Broad understanding of technology risk across infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, data and resilience.
• Ability to communicate findings to senior stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
• Experience with major technology programmes or digital transformation is advantageous.
• CISA or equivalent professional qualification would be beneficial.
• Interest in applying data analytics, automation and AI to improve audit processes.

Astrum Search is partnering with a leading UK FTSE organisation to appoint a Group IT Audit Manager, offering the opportunity to play a key role in strengthening technology assurance across a large, multi-site business.

The remit extends beyond traditional controls testing, covering emerging technology risks, digital transformation and the continued evolution of the audit function.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver risk based technology audits, assessing the effectiveness of controls and identifying opportunities to improve risk management
• Review technology environments spanning cloud, infrastructure, cyber security, data management and IT resilience
• Provide independent assurance over significant technology projects and transformation initiatives, identifying risks before they impact delivery
• Partner with technology and business leaders to discuss findings, challenge existing approaches and agree practical improvements
• Make greater use of Power BI, data analytics, automation and AI to enhance audit coverage, insight and efficiency

Skills & Experience:

• Background in IT Audit, Technology Risk or Technology Assurance, with experience delivering reviews from initial scoping through to final reporting
• Broad understanding of technology risk, including infrastructure, cloud platforms, cyber security, data and resilience
• Ability to assess technology risks in the context of wider business objectives and communicate findings to senior stakeholders
• Exposure to major technology programmes, systems implementations or digital transformation would be advantageous
• CISA or another relevant professional qualification would be beneficial
• A genuine interest in applying data analytics, automation and AI to improve how Internal Audit operates
