Job summary

Audit & Risk Recruitment is working with a leading UK luxury brand to shape the IT Internal Audit function across the group. The role reports to the Audit Director and oversees a small team, guiding IT assurance over ERP, cyber, data privacy, and transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate with senior leaders to deliver governance and risk-based insights, promoting best practices and ensuring audit remains a trusted partner across the business.

Qualifications

  • Qualified professional with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, with security certifications.
  • 6+ years in internal audit, risk management or assurance focusing on IT and digital.
  • Deep knowledge of IT audit, ERP, cybersecurity, infrastructure and digital risk.
  • Experience in global FTSE 100 or benchmark organisations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key member of the Internal Audit leadership team, contributing to the department's strategic direction.
  • Develop a team of three beneath you, shaping IT Internal Audit strategy for the business.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure audit remains a trusted business partner.
  • Promote best practices across risk, controls, and governance.
  • Lead by example in fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven culture.
  • Lead end-to-end IT, Digital, and Programme Assurance audits covering ERP, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data privacy, DA and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Provide expert insights on IT controls, cybersecurity, and data protection regulations.
  • Support the development and presentation of risk and audit reports for senior committees and the Audit Committee.
  • Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of IT and financial controls, identifying key risks and practical solutions.
  • Support audit planning and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery of assurance activities.
  • Work closely with IT, Digital, Information Security, and Transformation Programmes to provide assurance over major IT implementations.
  • Communicate clearly with business leaders, delivering actionable insights that influence decisions.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop audit staff through mentorship and feedback.
  • Contribute to shaping a positive team culture with continuous improvement and innovation.

Job description

Audit and Risk Recruitment are exclusively working with one of the UK's leading luxury brands! This is a pivotal and strategic role, working closely with the Audit Director to help shape the direction and vision of the Technology Internal Audit unction across the group!

The role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and deliver IT Internal Audit assurance over key technology and digital initiatives that are central to the organisation’s long-term strategy. You will manage and developa team of three beneath you, shaping the IT Internal Audit strategy for the company. This is paired with numerous Technology driven change and digital transformation initiatives across cloud architecture, ERP implementation, cyber security, AI governance and more, leading the direction of travel for the team moving forward.

-Salary: £80,000-£98,000 DOE plus a generous bonus and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key member of the Internal Audit leadership team, contributing to the department's strategic direction.

Audit Delivery & Technical Expertise
  • Lead end-to-end IT, Digital, and Programme Assurance audits covering ERP, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data privacy, DA and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Provide expert insights on IT controls, cybersecurity (aligned to frameworks like NIST, ISO, SOC2), and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Support the development and presentation of risk and audit reports for senior executive committees and the Audit Committee.
  • Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of IT and financial controls, identifying key risks and recommending practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Support audit planning and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery of assurance activities.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly IT, Digital, Information Security, and Transformation Programmes.
  • Provide assurance over high-impact strategic programmes and major IT implementations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with business leaders, delivering actionable insights that influence decision-making and improve outcomes.
Team Development
  • Inspire, coach, and develop audit staff through active mentorship and feedback.
  • Contribute to shaping a positive team culture with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Candidate Profile
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and/or technical certification (CISA, CISSP, CISM).
  • 6+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or assurance, with a strong focus on IT and digital.
  • Deep knowledge of IT audit practices, ERP systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital risk.
  • Proven ability to assess and improve control environments across complex business processes.
  • Programme assurance experience, particularly involving large-scale IT transformation.
  • Experience in global or FTSE 100/benchmark organisations.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, retail, or e-commerce operations.
