Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will review critical business processes and key technology projects, assess risk areas, and provide insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure within a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-first approach
• Conduct risk evaluations across engineering functions
• Apply creative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally a 2:1 or above in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of modern software development methods like Agile, DevOps, CI/CD
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles within financial services
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficient in working with datasets and structured problem-solving
• Familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is a plus
