Technology Assurance Analyst

Hybrid / London office based

Astrum Search is supporting a forward-thinking research and technology (FinTech) company specializing in financial research, IT infrastructure, and machine learning.

As part of the Controls Assurance team, you will conduct reviews of critical business processes and technology projects, assess business risks, and provide insights to improve the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of tech platforms, applications, and infrastructure within a trading environment
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to understand the technical landscape and apply a risk-focused approach
• Conduct risk evaluations and assurance work across engineering functions
• Use innovative testing strategies to generate data-driven insights
• Integrate data throughout the review process, from planning to reporting
• Present risk findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background, ideally 2:1 or above in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of modern software development methods (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD)
• Experience in risk, audit, or assurance roles, preferably in financial services
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
• Proficient in working with datasets and problem-solving
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or Python is advantageous
