Spencer Rigby has partnered with a global Ophthalmic Medical Device company looking for a hands-on IT Application Development Manager to lead, innovate, and shape the digital backbone of company systems and data landscape.

This is a high-impact leadership role involving managing a talented development team, owning system architecture, and delivering scalable, business-critical solutions to support global operations.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a high-performing internal development team across major technical initiatives
• Architect and evolve a robust, scalable systems & data landscape
• Ensure 24/7 system reliability
• Champion best practices across SDLC and maintain sharp documentation
• Coach and mentor team members and stakeholders in modern tools & methods
• Partner with IT and business leaders to develop innovative, value-driven solutions
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure smooth operation of systems like ERP, QMS & PLM

What You Bring:

• Hands-on leadership experience in tech development within Medical Device or advanced manufacturing
• Expertise in system architecture and design
• Proven support team leadership in a global, 24/7 business environment
• Expertise in Azure, Java, and API integration
• Experience in vendor management, especially with ERP, QMS, and PLM systems
• Strong leadership skills focused on coaching and development
