Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Position Overview

If you are seeking a career as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO), our Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance division at ARA offers an exciting opportunity. You will act as the ISSO and have the chance to grow in a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and cross-training across disciplines.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and perform technical reviews of security accreditation artifacts and test plans.
  2. Utilize knowledge of systems and network engineering procedures related to cybersecurity and infrastructure design.
  3. Maintain expertise in vulnerability management and continuous monitoring.

Position Requirements
  • Must be a US citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • AS degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology Management, or a related field with 12-14 years of experience, or a BS degree with 8-10 years, or an MS degree with 6-8 years.
  • Knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security documentation.
  • Experience with IAVM/STIG updates, PPSM, and firewall change requests.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DoD accreditation processes.
  • Experience managing system compliance with Revamp designation.
  • Knowledge of security architecture and accreditation tools like XACTA 360 or eMASS.
Additional Information
