Job summary

A leading global law firm in London is seeking a hands-on Information Security Officer on a contract basis to support various projects. The successful candidate will assess security risks, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Applicants should have strong technical security experience, knowledge of ISO 27001 or NIST, and excellent communication skills. This role requires 2 days onsite per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical security experience in a consulting capacity.
• Proven experience in project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST.

Information Security Officer - London - Contract - Inside IR35

I'm currently looking for a hands‑on Security Consultant to join a leading global law firm, on an ongoing contract supporting multiple complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Assess security risks for internal projects and third‑party vendors, providing clear recommendations.
• Support on‑prem to cloud initiatives, AI‑related work, and vendor risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, Risk, Compliance, and project teams to deliver practical, client‑focused security advice.

Qualifications

• Strong technical security and GRC experience.
• Experience in project delivery and stakeholder engagement (not hands‑off).
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Contract Details

• Location: London (2 days p/week onsite)
• Duration: 6‑12 month initial
