An innovative EdTech startup in London is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to oversee security strategies and compliance. Qualifications

Overview

Information Security Manager — Education Tech (No direct reports)

Location: Central London. Hybrid: 2 days per week in the Shoreditch office.

Responsibilities

• Be the right‑hand to the Head of IT, on the ground to help implement and develop new security and compliance strategies for a fast‑growing EdTech start‑up.
• Manage incidents and policy lifecycles; stay abreast of evolving technology and regulations.
• Lead upcoming security projects such as a SIEM implementation and an Identity & Access Management project.
• Contribute to improving the company’s security posture and policy framework (e.g., example policy: AI policy recently implemented).

Qualifications

• Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally for an EdTech or FinTech organization.
• Well‑versed across ISO 20071 and Cyber Essentials Plus, and data protection laws—creating standards for compliance, risk, auditing, etc.
• Experience with MDM, Intune, Sentinel and Defender, with upcoming initiatives mentioned.
