Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary invites applications for an Information Rights Officer & Trainer based in Fareham. The role combines handling Right of Access requests within the NPCC framework with delivering national data protection training.

You will research and analyse information, apply DP legislation and exemptions, draft responses, and support police forces with data protection queries. The trainer aspect focuses on developing and delivering DP training packages to promote best

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 5 or equivalent experience.
• Willing to undertake a nationally recognised training and development qualification.
• Significant knowledge of Data Protection and Human Rights Acts and related legislation.
• Experience in communicating complex issues to stakeholders and producing written reports.
• Experience in training delivery and/or presentations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to Right of Access requests received by NPCC.
• Research and analyse information, applying data protection legislation and exemptions.
• Draft responses and coordinate with colleagues across the police service.
• Act as help desk to other police forces on data protection queries.
• Develop, maintain and deliver National DP training packages.
