Job summary

Hampshire Constabulary seeks an Information Rights Officer and Trainer within the NPCC framework. You will manage Right of Access requests, research data, apply exemptions, draft responses, and support other forces with data protection queries. As a trainer, you will develop and deliver national DP training packages to promote best practice across the police service.

Flexible 4-day week options are considered; minimum 28 hours. Based in Fareham with hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good judgement and ability to analyse information

Responsibilities

• Manage and respond to Right of Access requests
• Research and analyse information and apply data protection exemptions
• Draft responses and liaise with police stakeholders to ensure compliant disclosures
• Act as help desk for data protection queries across forces and national data sharing opportunities
• Develop, maintain and deliver National Data Protection training packages
