Qualifications

• Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act) for safeguarding personal and organizational data.
• Awareness of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance on Information Governance, data protection and records management.
• Support compliance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, Caldicott Principles and NHS information governance requirements.
• Review and support DPIAs, Information Sharing Agreements and other governance documents.
• Assist in investigation and management of data security incidents and confidentiality breaches.
• Support responses to Subject Access Requests and other rights requests.
• Assist with maintenance and review of Information Governance policies, procedures and guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote best practice in information management and protection.
• Provide specialist advice across information governance functions and support privacy assessments and staff training.
