Job summary

Thurrock Council is seeking a committed Information Governance professional to assist with delivering the information governance work programme across the council and partner organisations under trading agreements.

You will support compliance with the Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act, apply records management best practices, and work to meet tight deadlines while communicating at all levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling Data Protection and Freedom of Information requests.
• Strong communication skills to engage at all levels.
• Proficient IT skills for project support and day-to-day tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of the information governance work programme.
• Apply legislation relating to information governance and data protection.
• Support day-to-day records management in the office environment.
• Engage with Thurrock and partner organisations under trading agreements.
