Information Governance Lead - Data Protection & Modernisation

Job summary

MERJE is seeking an Information Governance Manager in Kent for a 6-month FTC. You will lead the information governance framework, ensure compliance with data protection legislation, and support a modernisation programme including RoPA, DPIAs, and LIAs on OneTrust.

You will work with the Group DPO, advise on GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and manage third-party audits, training stakeholders and embedding data protection by design.

Qualifications

• Experience in information governance within healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS requirements.
• Experience with risk management and third-party audits.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the modernisation of RoPA processes and transfer onto OneTrust.
• Implement streamlined DPIA and LIA processes and advise on mitigations.
• Develop, review and update information governance policies and guidance.
• Ensure projects embed data protection by design and by default.
• Provide training and guidance on data protection and information governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliant data handling and assist with supplier security assessments.
• Support the Group DPO with audits to assess compliance with policies.
