Job summary

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust is seeking an Infection Control Practitioner to lead infection prevention and control across our three hospices in Birmingham, Walsall and Worcester. You will also support the Care Education team to design and deliver learning programmes.

We offer a salary of £46,920 to £53,040 per annum, with full-time or part-time hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension schemes, health plans and staff development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional is required.
• Previous experience in infection control.
• Evidence of continued professional development.

• Identify potential infection hazards and suggest appropriate remedial action to relevant personnel.

• Collaborate with care teams and other agencies in the identification, investigation and management of outbreaks.

Job description

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust are looking for an Infection Control Practitioner to lead on infection prevention and control across our three hospices in Walsall, Worcester and Birmingham. Additionally, you will also support our Care Education team to with the design and delivery of high-quality learning programmes.

As Infection Control Practitioner, You Will

• Provide specialist input in the identification, prevention and control of infection
• Monitor staff compliance with infection prevention and control policies

• As part of the Care Education Team, support the development and delivery of an education plan and deliver learning to meet identified learning needs

• Collaborate with members of care teams and other agencies in the identification, investigation and management of outbreaks

You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
