Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a proactive team member to support the Infection Prevention team in delivering the strategic improvement plan. The role involves assisting with audits such as hand hygiene and environmental monitoring and contributing to surveillance data collection.

You will organise workload under supervision of senior staff and ensure infection prevention materials are properly displayed across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Evidence of continuous professional development.
• Flexible approach to work and adaptability.
• Ability to undertake audit and understand audit methodology.
• IT proficiency, e.g. Excel and Forms.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Infection Prevention team in delivering the improvement plan.
• Lead in infection prevention audit activities (e.g., environmental monitoring, hand hygiene, isolation, care bundle compliance).
• Undertake surveillance activities including basic data collection to support programmes.
• Ensure infection prevention posters and materials are displayed correctly across the hospital.
• Organise and prioritise workload with supervision from senior infection prevention staff.
