Responsibilities

• Lead the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) accreditation process within maternity services to increase breastfeeding initiation and continuation rates across Stockport.
• Support frenulotomy service by training to review for restricted lingual frenulum and perform divisions with documentation aligned to Trust Guidelines.
• Lead the review, development and implementation of infant feeding policies and train maternity and neonatal staff; collaborate with the Infant Feeding Co-ordinator and Startwell Stockport/neonatal infant feeding links.
