Job summary

Ecotricity in Stroud is seeking an Industry Operations Expert to join a friendly team. You’ll support Registrations, Settlement, Industry Data Management, Data Exceptions, and SEG operations, ensuring data accuracy and compliant processes.

As a subject matter expert you’ll resolve complex data issues, improve workflows, and share knowledge across the business. You'll collaborate with partners and colleagues to deliver reliable, efficient customer outcomes.

• Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and third parties to achieve the best outcomes for customers.
• Maintain high standards of data integrity, compliance, and operational performance.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and share knowledge across the team.
• Support process improvements, change initiatives, and create clear documentation and training materials.
• Contribute to projects and wider team activities that support Ecotricity's goals.

Job description

We're looking for an Industry Operations Expert to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in a rapidly changing energy industry. You'll help ensure our customers have a smooth journey with Ecotricity while supporting key industry processes including Registrations, Settlement, Industry Data Management, Data Exceptions, and Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) operations.

As one of our subject matter experts, you'll be a trusted source of knowledge for colleagues across the business, helping to solve complex issues, improve processes, and maintain the high standards of data quality and compliance that our customers rely on.

You'll stay up to date with industry changes, share knowledge with the wider team, and help us continuously improve the way we work. Whether you're resolving industry exceptions, supporting colleagues with technical queries, or contributing to change initiatives, you'll have a genuine opportunity to make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting customers from registration through to first bill by helping ensure industry data is accurate and complete.
• Investigating and resolving industry data exceptions and operational queries within agreed timescales.
• Acting as a trusted point of contact for electricity and gas industry data issues.
• Working closely with colleagues, industry partners, and third parties to achieve the best outcomes for customers.

About You

We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and enjoys solving problems. You'll be naturally organised, have a keen eye for detail, and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.

Just as importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively, sharing knowledge, and supporting colleagues to learn and grow. You'll be comfortable managing relationships across the business and confident communicating complex information in a clear and approachable way.

Previous experience within the energy industry would be beneficial, but we also welcome applications from people with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
