Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Join our Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant as a permanent Industries Installation / Maintenance Technician. You will support the Engineering department by maintaining and repairing electrical and control equipment within the production unit, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety policies.

Main Responsibilities

• Inspect structures and equipment, report defects, and perform legislative checks.
• Supervise scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs of equipment.
• Maintain electrical systems, troubleshoot production breakdowns, and carry out plant modifications and calibrations.
• Use logical problem-solving techniques to identify and rectify issues.
• Operate equipment such as pedestal drills, grinders, welding tools, and portable powered hand tools.
• Assist with mechanical repairs across the business when needed.

Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role or hold a Level 3 (or higher) technical qualification. Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and an understanding of PLC and controlled equipment are essential.
