Industries Installation / Maintenance Technician

Purpose of the Role
As a permanent Industries Installation / Maintenance Technician, you will join a valued team in our Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant. The role will support the Engineering department with maintenance and repair of all Electrical/Control equipment within the production unit and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies.
Main Responsibilities
You will examine structures and equipment within buildings or plant, report defects, carry out legislative checks, and keep records. Following all risk assessments and procedures, you will supervise attendees for scheduled servicing of equipment and breakdowns. You will also maintain electrical equipment, assemble electrical systems, deal with production breakdowns, perform plant modifications and instrumentation calibrations, and use logical problem-solving techniques to find root causes and rectify issues. You will work with equipment such as pedestal drill machines, grinders, welding equipment, and portable powered hand tools, and assist with the repair of all mechanical equipment across the business when required.
Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience in a similar role or hold a Level 3 (or higher) Certificate of Technical Education in the field. You will be a team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and have an understanding of PLC and controlled equipment.
