Job summary

J C PORTABLE SITE ACCOMMODATION LTD in Chichester invites an experienced Spray Painter / Coatings Technician to join our Site Operations team. You will prepare, paint, and coat modular and portable buildings, using 2K and polyurea systems to achieve durable finishes in line with specifications.

Essential: 2+ years in industrial coatings, NVQ 2/3 in coatings, CSCS, and a clean driving licence. Role includes site travel, overtime opportunities, and a strong focus on health, safety, and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in industrial spray painting or protective coatings.
• Proven experience with two-pack (2K) coatings.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Industrial Coatings or Vehicle Refinishing or equivalent.
• CSCS Card holder with site experience.
• Experience applying polyurea coatings and spraying steel components.
• Strong surface prep, coating spec knowledge, and RAL colour understanding.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation of steel frameworks and modular components.
• Mixing and applying primers, topcoats, 2K coatings, and polyurea systems.
• Operate and maintain spray equipment (airless, HVLP, conventional).
• Quality inspections and touch-ups per specs; report defects.
• Stock and materials management to support production.
• Coordinate with supervisors to meet production schedules.
• Adhere to EHS procedures and wear PPE; travel to sites as needed.
