Job summary

Peoplewithenergy seeks an experienced Industrial Safety Advisor to join the Commissioning & Operations team for Hinkley Point C, supporting the safe transition from construction to operations in one of Europe’s largest nuclear projects.

You will develop and implement industrial safety arrangements, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and best practice, and foster a proactive safety culture across commissioning, operations and construction teams.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
• Current IOSH Membership is desirable.
• Minimum six years' experience within occupational health and safety.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation including HSWA, MHSWR, PUWER and LOLER.
• Experience developing and maintaining safety management systems.
• Experience conducting risk assessments in complex operational environments, preferably in nuclear/high-hazard settings.

• Provide professional health and safety advice to commissioning and operational teams.

Join one of the UK's most significant clean energy projects and play a key role in supporting the safe transition of Hinkley Point C from construction into operations.

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Safety Advisor to become part of the Commissioning & Operations team at Hinkley Point C. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of operational safety arrangements within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment and help establish the safety culture that will underpin the station for years to come.

The Role

As an Industrial Safety Advisor, you will support the development, implementation and continual improvement of industrial safety arrangements across Hinkley Point C, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and industry best practice.
Working closely with commissioning, operational and construction teams, you will provide expert safety guidance, champion a proactive safety culture and support the operational readiness of one of Europe's largest nuclear new-build projects.
