Job summary

AWE in Reading is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Lead to shape and deliver the company’s IR strategy, advising on collective bargaining, dispute resolution, and the application of employment and trade union legislation.

You will champion constructive relationships with Trade Unions and employees, leading on bargaining and consultation across the organisation, with credibility and sound judgement in complex IR environments.

Qualifications

• Significant industrial relations and employee relations experience in a large multisite, complex unionised organisation.
• Deep knowledge of HR policies and employment legislation.
• Experience advising on IR/ER implications of major organisational changes (e.g., TUPE, redesign, redundancy).

Responsibilities

• Support local, regional and national objectives while minimising risk.
• Act as change agent and liaise with HR, senior leaders and specialists.
• Lead bargaining and consultation strategies and manage the local/regional agenda.
• Provide IR support during disputes to protect the company's interests and mitigate risk.
• Contribute to development and implementation of IR/ER policies and strategy.
