Job summary

Tailored Technical Solutions Ltd is seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer / Process Cooling Engineer for field-based work across the North West. You will service large-scale refrigeration and cooling systems in food & beverage plants, distribution centres, and heavy commercial settings.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, maintenance, fault-finding on ammonia/CO2/HFC systems, with site liaison to provide expert technical support and client guidance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in refrigeration or related field.
• F-Gas certification required.
• Experience with ammonia systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installation, service, maintenance and fault-finding on industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair chillers and systems in manufacturing environments.
• Support planned maintenance programmes and site safety compliance.
• Liaise with clients on-site to provide technical support and guidance.

Industrial Refrigeration / Process Cooling Engineer

Food & Beverage Sector - Field-Based Role

Seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer / Process Cooling Engineer to join a growing service division across the food and beverage industry working across a regional area of the North West.

This is a hands-on, field-based role working on large-scale refrigeration and cooling systems within manufacturing plants, distribution centres, and heavy commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, service, maintenance, and fault-finding on industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems
• Working with ammonia, CO₂, and HFC/HFO systems (experience preferred)
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on refrigeration and chillers
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards
• Liaising with clients on-site to provide technical support and advice

Requirements:

• Experience in either industrial refrigeration or heavy commercial refrigeration or process cooling systems within food & beverage environments
• Relevant refrigeration qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
• F-Gas certification
• Experience with ammonia systems highly desirable
• Full UK driving licence
