Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Chiller & Refrigeration Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair industrial refrigeration and water chiller systems across the North West. The role covers sites in Manchester and surrounding areas, with a focus on ammonia, CO2 and glycol systems where training is available.

The successful candidate will perform planned maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and commissioning with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning required.
• F-Gas qualification needed.
• Experience servicing refrigeration or chiller equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of industrial refrigeration and water chiller systems.
• Fault finding on refrigeration plant, compressors, pumps and controls.
• Work on ammonia, CO2, glycol and HFC/HFO systems (experience dependent).
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and emergency call-outs.
• Produce digital service reports and maintain customer relationships.

Chiller & Refrigeration Service Engineer - North West

Salary: Up to £46,000 Basic + Door-to-Door Travel + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chiller & Refrigeration Service Engineer to join a growing specialist engineering business delivering industrial refrigeration and process cooling solutions across the UK.

Working across the North West, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial refrigeration, water chiller and process cooling equipment within sectors including food manufacturing, cold storage, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and distribution. The business is recognised for its technical expertise in ammonia, CO?, glycol and water chiller systems, offering engineers the opportunity to develop their skills on complex industrial plant.

The Role

As a mobile Chiller & Refrigeration Service Engineer, you'll carry out planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding and commissioning on a variety of refrigeration and cooling systems.

Typical duties include:

• Service, maintenance and repair of industrial refrigeration and water chiller systems
• Fault finding on refrigeration plant, compressors, pumps, controls and associated equipment
• Working on ammonia, CO?, glycol and HFC/HFO systems (experience dependent)
• Completing planned preventative maintenance and emergency call‑outs
• Producing digital service reports and maintaining excellent customer relationships
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

About You

• F-Gas Qualification

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

• Up to £46,000 basic salary (DOE) / Potentially more for right candidate
