Industrial Refrigeration Engineer – Glasgow

Location: Edinburgh and surrounding areas

Salary: £35,000 – £48,000 DOE + Overtime + On-Call + Company Vehicle

Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Industrial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer looking for your next challenge with a leading service provider? We’re working with a reputable company known for delivering first-class industrial refrigeration and cooling solutions across Scotland.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of industrial refrigeration & AC systems across various client sites. Working with ammonia, CO₂, and other refrigerants, you'll ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of large-scale plant systems in environments such as food production, logistics, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial refrigeration & air conditioning systems
2. Work with ammonia and CO₂ systems (training can be provided if required)
3. Conduct diagnostics and fault finding
4. Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and company H&S standards
5. Complete job reports and communicate effectively with clients and the office team
6. Participate in an on-call rota and respond to emergency breakdowns

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
• F-Gas 2079 certification (essential)
• Experience with industrial systems (ammonia/CO₂ advantageous)
• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
• Full UK Driving Licence
