Job Description:
The purpose of the role is to:
- Complete planned maintenance to a high standard to ensure the equipment installed continues to operate when required, minimizing breakdowns and downtime.
- Ensure safety and operational readiness of safety-critical items.
- Maintain up-to-date, clear, and concise maintenance records.
- Respond to emergency reactive calls to a high standard.
- Conduct site surveys as requested by the client or business.
- Represent the company to uphold its standards and beliefs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Service and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration plant and equipment.
- Perform minor and major services of large compressors.
- Carry out pre-planned maintenance tasks following maintenance programmes.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage parts including delivery, collection, and returns.
- Update service records and maintain accurate timekeeping.
- Complete site/plant surveys and ensure timely paperwork submission.
- Assist with covering absences and support the SME.
- Keep clients and colleagues informed of potential issues and actions.
- Ensure all logging requirements (e.g., ATAS, maintenance reports) are completed.
- Participate in out-of-hours standby rota for 24/7 support.
- Collaborate with the Projects team on installation of new equipment.

- Relevant refrigeration technical skills and knowledge.
- F-Gas 2079 Category 1 and Ammonia certification.
- Experience as a refrigeration engineer.
- Ability to follow SOPs and understand technical documentation.
- CO2 experience is desirable.
