Job summary

Volvo Group in the UK/Ireland market seeks an Area Account Manager to lead strategic OEM and key account relationships within the Industrial and Power Generation sectors. You will drive growth, own commercial discussions, and coordinate Volvo Penta teams to deliver tailored solutions.

In this role you will manage multiple opportunities across engineering, procurement and leadership teams, travel across the UK/Ireland, and represent a premium Volvo Group brand at events and exhibitions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales and account management, growing large key accounts.
• Strong technical background or knowledge with engineered solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for all levels.

Responsibilities

• Win new platforms linked to engine, emissions and Tier 5 requirements.
• Identify opportunities in energy transition: BESS, EV powertrain, alternatives.
• Collaborate with service teams to develop OEM service market opportunities.
• Lead negotiations: pricing, agreements, cost analysis and models.
• Own full sales lifecycle from prospecting to quotation and delivery.
• Coordinate projects with engineering, supply chain and global teams.
• Manage RFQs and tenders through to agreement, support negotiations.
• Use market insights to grow existing accounts and shape strategies.
