Job summary

Pivt Group is seeking a PC&A Inspector to provide engineering support for the Hot Rolled Products area, acting as the first contact for the Hot Mill. You will diagnose PLC faults, work on instrumentation and control systems, and ensure electrical safety compliance.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 Electrical (or equivalent) and hands-on fault-finding experience within a manufacturing setting. Overtime may be needed to cover breakdowns and planned maintenance.

Qualifications

• Good fault-finding experience and technical know-how.
• Strong understanding of electrical control systems and drives.
• Experience in a relevant role with flexibility to develop further.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults on PLC programs and plant end devices.
• Work on instrumentation and control systems.
• Understand electrical control systems, DC & AC drives, and motors, diagnosing faults swiftly.
• Hold or progress towards authorisation to issue electrical permits.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and statutory duties.
• Support the team and respond to engineering, quality, and safety issues.
• Contribute to plant performance improvements.
• Flexible to cover overtime around breakdowns and maintenance.
