Job summary

Morrisons is offering a 12-month industrial placement in the Estates Management Team at Hilmore House, Bradford. You will gain hands-on experience in strategic asset management, lease negotiations and financial oversight while supporting a large, multi-property estate.

You will work directly with the Head of Estates and Senior Estates Manager, learning how to drive operational excellence and contribute to major property projects that affect colleagues and customers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Real Estate or a closely related degree.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and a sharp attention to detail.
• A natural team player with the confidence to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all business levels.
• Experience in data management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Asset Management: work on initiatives that protect and enhance value across 800+ properties.
• Commercial Negotiation: gain exposure to lease renewals and rent reviews.
• Financial Oversight: partner with Property Finance to manage income, costs including service charge budgeting.
• Operational Command: oversee day-to-day property functions and maintain the lease event database.

Join the Morrisons Estates Management Team for a dynamic 12-month industrial placement where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing one of the largest corporate estates in the UK.

Based at our Head Office (Hilmore House, Bradford), you'll be part of a high-performing Property division, directly influencing the operational excellence that supports thousands of colleagues and millions of customers daily.

The Impact You'll Have

This isn't a shadow role, its hands-on property management from day one. Working closely with the Head of Estates and Senior Estates Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Asset Management: Dive into initiatives and projects that protect and enhance the value our 800+ commercial properties (including supermarkets, distribution centres, and manufacturing sites).
• Commercial Negotiation: Get practical experience with significant commercial processes like lease renewals and rent reviews.
• Financial Oversight: Partner with our Property Finance team to manage, track, and optimize millions in income and operational costs, including service charge budgeting and reconciliation.
• Operational Command: Oversee day-to-day property functions, ensuring the integrity of our critical lease event database and driving key ad-hoc property projects.
