Job summary

Jackson Civil Engineering Ltd is recruiting for a 2027-8 Industrial Placement lasting 12 months. The successful applicant will work on site within a project team as an assistant Quantity Surveyor, with guidance and training provided to translate university theory into practice.

The role includes supporting the QS team, learning key tasks, and developing awareness of company procedures and risk management. A full UK driving licence is required and induction will include a driver assessment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be studying a Quantity Surveying degree and be based within the region they're applying for.
• You will be working on site within a project team as an assistant Quantity Surveyor.
• Guidance and training will be provided during the placement.

The successful applicant will be working out on site within a project team as an assistant Quantity Surveyor. Guidance and training will be provided, and the placement will be an excellent opportunity to put theory learned at university into practice.

• Candidates should develop and awareness of company procedures and processes.
• To identify potential risks and evaluate options for control.
• To assist with providing evidence for dispute resolutions and analysing sub-contract bids.

Candidates must be studying a Quantity Surveying degree and be based within the region they're applying for. You will be expected to have a full UK driving licence and must complete and safely pass a driver assessment during your induction day.
