Job summary

Evolito is offering a 12-month Mechanical Design Industrial Placement Programme in Oxfordshire. You will work with experienced engineers on live customer projects from day one, shaping the future of electric propulsion technology.

You will contribute to the design and development of components, create 3D CAD models and drawings, and support from concept through to manufacturing and testing, with mentoring to develop your professional skills.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with 3D CAD packages (NX, CATIA or SolidWorks).
• Strong fundamentals in engineering principles and product development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of components for electric propulsion products.
• Produce and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with documentation.
• Support projects from concept through manufacture, testing and verification.
• Assist with material selection, design for manufacture and prototype builds.
• Participate in design reviews and DFMEA activities.
• Receive mentoring and development support throughout the placement.

What y ou'll d o

As a member of our 12-month Mechanical Design Industrial Placement Programme, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on live customer projects from day one.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Contribute to the design and development of components and assemblies for electric propulsion products
• Produce and modify 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings and supporting technical documentation
• Support projects from requirements and concept development through to manufacture, testing and verification
• Assist with material selection, design for manufacture and prototype build activities
• Contribute to design reviews, DFMEAs, development testing and technical investigations
• Receive mentoring and support throughout the programme

You could be involved in projects across:

• Mechanical Design

• Prototype Build & Development Testing
• Design Verification
• Engineering Risk Assessment & DFMEA

What we 're l ooking f or

• Are studying Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Need to complete an industrial placement year as part of their course
• Have a good understanding of fundamental engineering principles and an interest in product development
• Have some experience using a 3D CAD package such as Siemens NX, CATIA or SolidWorks
• Are practical, analytical, collaborative and eager to learn
