Job summary

Arup in Nottingham is offering an Industrial Placement for a Civil Engineer. You’ll work within the Transport team on sustainable mobility projects, supporting design development and deliverables alongside experienced engineers.

This placement provides hands-on experience across active travel, public realm schemes and major road projects, with collaboration, learning opportunities, and access to design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, as part of a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D standards.
• Design standards knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing designs and design deliverables for transport projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to support project delivery.
• Manage tasks and timelines within a multidisciplinary team.

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant academic discipline such as Civil Engineering; General Civil Engineering, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Design Standards
