The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the UK & Ireland’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat designs, develops, and delivers a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.

We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions, with experience in successfully procuring and delivering similar projects for various public bodies across UK & Europe.

Role Overview

Alternative Heat is looking to recruit industrial Painter / Sprayers to work within the Banbridge Area. This role offers the opportunity to work at our state-of-the-art surface preparation and protective coatings workshop facility in Banbridge and contribute to the ongoing success of the business.

Job Title: Industrial Painter – Surface Finish Technician

Location: Head Office, Banbridge

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3pm

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Responsible to: Site Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Apply stripe coating to areas where access by spraying is difficult, for each coat.
• Spray coats of the required coating system per specified procedures.
• Use quality instrumentation to check the thickness of paint application.
• Handle and move components safely.
• Promote a safe working environment and ensure coating work is completed safely and to high standards.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Read, understand, and implement risk assessments and safe working practices.
• Follow the schedule communicated by the Supervisor and Manager.
• Work as part of a team to achieve work scope and schedule objectives.
• Maintain tools and equipment daily.
• Seek additional tasks proactively when time permits.
