Job summary

Springfields Fuels Ltd is seeking an Operational Technology Engineer to maintain and enhance industrial control systems across the site. The role sits at the intersection of engineering and cyber security, ensuring safe, secure operation compliant with ONR and NIS standards.

You will contribute to design, integration, and change control of OT systems, collaborating with cyber security teams to apply IEC 62443 and related controls.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining or supporting industrial control systems in manufacturing or critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, OG86, NCSC CAF and ISO 27001 frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support OT control systems (PLCs, DCS, HMIs, SCADA) across production facilities.
• Contribute to design, integration, and change control of OT systems.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to implement secure architectures and controls.
• Ensure compliance with ONR, NIS, and safety cases; support audits and inspections.
• Promote digitalisation and automation, and share knowledge with apprentices.
