Talentometry has partnered with an Industrial Automation Engineering Consultancy to expand their Industrial ICT team. Clients include Defence, large multinational industrial entities, and the UK Government.

The role involves travel to various UK sites (travel time paid). Key responsibilities include:

1. Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain networks, including switching, routing, security, and wireless technologies. Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize networks.
2. Server and Client Configuration & Support: Manage servers and client systems, ensuring stability, security, and performance. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
3. Patch Management: Implement and oversee patch processes to keep systems secure and up-to-date. Address vulnerabilities proactively.
4. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup solutions to protect critical data.
5. Collaboration and Documentation: Work with teams to understand IT requirements. Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
6. Monitoring and Reporting: Use tools to monitor network and system performance. Generate reports on health, security, and metrics.
7. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues efficiently.

About You: Candidates should have experience managing systems underpinning critical infrastructure, with:

1. At least 5 years of practical experience.
2. Deep knowledge of network protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless.
3. Experience with network security protocols.
4. CISCO CCNA or equivalent certification.
