Company: Automation Engineering Consultancy Firm

Talentometry has partnered with an Industrial Automation Engineering Consultancy firm to expand their Industrial ICT team. Clients range from Defence, large multinational industrial entities, to the UK Government.

The role involves travel to various UK sites (travel time paid). Key responsibilities include:

• Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain networks, including switching, routing, security, and wireless technologies. Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize networks.
• Server and Client Configuration & Support: Manage servers and client systems for stability, security, and performance. Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
• Patch Management: Ensure systems are up-to-date with security patches. Address vulnerabilities proactively.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement backup solutions for data protection.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work with teams to understand IT needs. Document configurations and procedures.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Use tools to track performance and generate reports.
• User Support: Provide technical support to end-users.

About You: Candidates should have experience managing systems underpinning critical infrastructure, with:

• At least 5 years of practical experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networks.
• Experience with network security protocols.
• CISCO CCNA or equivalent certification.

Preferred Skills:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
• SOC, SIEM, SNMP.
• Interest in IoT/OT/ICS.
• Experience with network management tools.
