Job summary

Hernshead Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for 2 x Industrial Electricians for an ongoing industrial project in the UK. This contract role involves site-based electrical installation, testing and inspection work, with 10-hour days, overtime opportunities, and rotational weekend work.

Essential qualifications include a valid ECS Card and a 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification. Candidates should have proven experience on industrial/heavy engineering sites and be able to complete electrical test

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with steel armoured cabling (SWA).
• Experience carrying out electrical inspection and testing.
• Experience completing electrical test certificates and documentation.
• Experience working on industrial or heavy engineering sites.
• Ability to work long hours and commit to weekend overtime when required.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, inspection, testing and site regulations.

Responsibilities

• Installation, glanding, terminating, and routing of steel wire armoured (SWA) cabling.
• Working to electrical drawings, schematics, and site plans.
• Carrying out electrical containment and cable management.
• Conducting electrical inspection and testing of installations.
• Carrying out dead and live testing, continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, earth fault loop impedance and RCD testing as required.
• Identifying and rectifying electrical faults and defects.
• Completing relevant test certificates and inspection documentation.
• Ensuring all installations are tested, safe and compliant prior to handover.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with site health & safety procedures.
• Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to meet project deadlines.
• Working 10-hour days, with overtime available and every other weekend worked.

About this Position

We are currently recruiting for 2 x Industrial Electricians to support an ongoing industrial project. This is an immediate start contract, offering consistent hours, overtime opportunities, and weekend work on a rotational basis. The role involves site-based electrical installation, testing and inspection work within an industrial environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Installation, glanding, terminating, and routing of steel wire armoured (SWA) cabling
