Job summary

Nelson Permanent Placements is seeking an electrical tester to perform Fixed Wire Testing and EICRs on industrial projects around Stevenage, with occasional assignments in the North West. The role requires current Gold card/NVQ and 18th Edition qualifications, plus 2391 certification.

Qualifications

• Gold card, NVQ and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations are required.
• 2391 inspection certification is preferred.
• 3+ years in commercial/industrial electrical environments; LV directives knowledge.
• IPAF certification is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Fixed Wire Testing & EICRs: perform testing and compile Electrical Installation Condition Reports.
• Compliance Reporting: log observations and provide detailed reports for auditors and clients.
• Remedial Works: diagnose system faults, perform minor repairs, and recommend follow-up actions.
