Job summary

Gael Force Group in Inverness is seeking an Industrial Electrician to install and repair electrical systems on feed barges and marinas. The role requires a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent, ECS Card, and knowledge of IEE regulations. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £21 - £23.00, depending on experience, and generous annual leave which starts at 31 days per annum.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems on feed barges and marinas.
  • Repair electrical problems in marina and feed barge systems.
  • Conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
  • Ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.

Job description

Exciting opportunity: Industrial Electrician

Hours: 39 hours per week.

Hourly rate: £21-£23.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Holiday entitlement: 31 days per annum.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install electrical systems on feed barges (mainly 3 Phase Systems & Motor Control), marinas and other sites as contracts require, with direction, in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Repair electrical problems in marina and feed barge electrical system.
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
  • Ensure good quality work which upholds company standards, complies with applicable codes, and follows safety requirements.
  • Carry out Electrical operations to appropriate codes, standards & QHSE requirements.
  • Providing Technical information and / or assistance to other departments
  • Assist in the continuous development of all our products to improve quality, improve design and reduce production costs.
What you’ll need
  • Driving licence.
  • ECS Card.
  • Qualified to City & Guilds level or above.
  • Possess a working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391or 2394 & 2395).
  • Experience in the Aquaculture and marine industry.
