Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group are partnering with a leading heavy industrial electrical contractor to recruit an Approved Electrician / Industrial Electrical Installer. You will deliver installation, testing and commissioning across high‑risk process environments, including aggregates, water utilities and infrastructure.

A fully qualified, hands‑on sparky is required. Enjoy guaranteed door-to-door pay, premium overtime and a company vehicle with fuel card.

Qualifications

• ECS Gold Card valid and current.
• Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation or completed apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) up to date.
• AM2: Electrotechnical Assessment of Competence completed.
• Full UK driving licence with clean record.
• Experience in heavy commercial or industrial wiring.

Responsibilities

• Industrial Installations: Heavy‑duty containment, SWA cabling, and tray work.
• Equipment Hook‑ups: Wiring three‑phase motors, pumps, and heavy machinery.
• Control Systems: Working on electrical panels and industrial control gear.
• Site Support: Fault‑finding, schematics reading, and commissioning kit.
• Safety First: Maintaining strict compliance in heavy process environments.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria:

• ECS Gold Card: Valid and current.
• Level 3 Qualification: C&G Electrical Installation or completed apprenticeship.
• 18th Edition: BS 7671 up to date.
• AM2: Electrotechnical Assessment of Competence completed.
• Driving Licence: Full UK licence with clean record.
• Experience: Strong background in heavy commercial or industrial wiring.

Note: We cannot accept applicants whose experience is strictly limited to domestic/housing tap‑outs.

Highly Desirable (But Not Essential):

• City & Guilds 2391: Inspection & Testing (Massive bonus if you have this).
• Industrial Tickets: CompEx, MPQC / SPA Quarry Passport, IPAF, PASMA.
