Job summary

Aspion Search is seeking an Electrical Technician in Barton-upon-Humber to maintain and repair electrical systems on large-scale plant and ship loading equipment at a major port.

You will perform planned maintenance and reactive fault finding to ensure safe operation, with strict adherence to permit-to-work and health and safety rules. Apprentice-trained electricians with 18th Edition are preferred, and a UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Electrician with relevant industrial experience.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification required.
• Strong fault finding on electrical systems in heavy industry.
• Experience with plant machinery or ship loading equipment.
• Knowledge of permit to work and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance on heavy industrial plant and machinery.
• Fault finding and repair on industrial electrical systems.
• Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown response.
• Work on ship loading equipment and bulk handling systems.
• Ensure equipment is safely isolated before maintenance.
• Complete maintenance reports and job records.
• Follow permit to work and health & safety procedures.
