Job summary

Major Recruitment is seeking an Industrial Electrical Engineer for a busy manufacturing site. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, completing planned maintenance and improving machine reliability.

You will carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, fault find on production machinery, support setup and changeovers, and maintain maintenance records while working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure safety and

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering or maintenance background within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on production machinery.
• Knowledge of electrical regulations and safe isolation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred.
• Inspection & Testing experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Fault find and repair production machinery to minimise downtime.
• Respond to breakdowns and identify root causes of faults.
• Support machine set-up, calibration and production changeovers.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams.
• Support mechanical tasks where required and develop multi-skilled capability.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
