United Utilities in Blackburn is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to service critical wastewater and renewable energy assets across Blackburn and the North West. This field-based role combines planned maintenance, fault finding, asset installation, and continuous improvement to keep equipment safe, reliable, and performing at its best.

You will manage your own workload, travel between sites, and work with a supportive team while delivering high standards of safety and environmental

Qualificações

• NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in mechanical maintenance in utilities/manufacturing/industrial settings
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
• Good planning, organisational and IT skills

Responsabilidades

• Deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical assets
• Diagnose faults and implement repair solutions to minimise downtime
• Install, replace and commission mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, mixers, pipework)
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and updates
• Collaborate with operations, electrical engineers and contractors on projects
• Support capital investment and asset upgrade projects
• Maintain safety, health and environmental standards on site
