Job summary

Gi Group is recruiting an Industrial Cleaner for a well-established factory environment in Newbury, Berkshire. This temporary ongoing role involves hands-on cleaning in a food manufacturing setting with daytime hours and £12.71 per hour pay.

You will perform deep cleaning of production areas, machinery and surfaces, manage waste per site procedures, and maintain hygiene and safety throughout shifts. Training provided; prior industrial cleaning useful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Production/ factory cleaning in a production environment.
• Physically fit for a manual role with heavy lifting.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or in a team.
• Good attention to hygiene and safety standards.
• Training provided for role, prior cleaning experience beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean production areas, equipment, floors, walls and surfaces.
• Clean machinery and ensure hygiene standards across areas.
• Handle waste removal and disposal per site procedures.
• Use industrial cleaning products and equipment safely (hoses, foaming agents, scrubbing tools).
• Complete tasks to deadlines and follow cleaning schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, floors, walls and work surfaces
• Cleaning down machinery and ensuring all areas meet hygiene standards
• Handling waste removal and disposal in line with site procedures
• Using industrial cleaning products and equipment safely (e.g., hoses, foaming chemicals, scrubbing tools)
• Completing cleaning tasks to deadlines and following cleaning schedules/checklists
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times

Requirements for an Industrial Cleaner

• Comfortable working in a production environment
• Physically fit - this is a manual role with heavy lifting involved
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety
• Previous industrial/ factory cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential (training provided)
