Job summary

Actemium Automation Huddersfield is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial automation and control system projects from planning through to handover, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

The role involves coordinating engineering, software, procurement, manufacturing and installation teams, managing budgets and risks, and acting as the primary interface for customers and suppliers across UK sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing engineering, automation, control systems projects within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, processes, tools and delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, change and commercial requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage industrial automation, control systems projects from concept through to completion.
• Develop project plans, programmes, budgets, resource requirements and delivery strategies.
• Coordinate project activities across engineering, software, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning teams.
• Manage project scope, costs, schedules, risks, dependencies, change control and commercial performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates, reports and forecasts to customers and senior management.
• Ensure project deliverables meet technical specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards and customer expectations.
