Industrial Automation Application Engineer – South East UK, you must live within this area.

Please note: You must be a full UK citizen living and working in the UK to be considered for this opportunity. Relevant industrial automation application support experience covering electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming is required.

This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading industrial automation equipment suppliers as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The role is based in the South East of the UK and is a work-from-home position.

The Application Engineer provides technical consulting and solutions for key Industrial Automation applications to the Sales Teams during the pre-sales phase, considering commercial aspects and supporting projects assigned to them. Expertise in commissioning, software, and controls functionalities is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Translating multi-technological solutions into detailed designs involving pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and software solutions using the latest technologies.
2. Assessing the technical feasibility of proposals based on industry and technology segment knowledge.
3. Preparing specification lists and technical elements for customer proposals.
4. Creating Requirement Specifications with customers.
5. Meeting project deadlines and ensuring successful project realization.
6. Reporting activities and managing project data accurately.
7. Handling complaints and setting up action plans as needed.
8. Discussing machine concepts to optimize and define specifications.
9. Supporting account planning.
10. Acting as an interface during pre-sales between customers and relevant departments, in coordination with sales engineers.
11. Providing technical training and knowledge transfer to the team.
12. Supporting compliance with norms and regulations.
13. Supporting project wins.
14. Managing project commissioning at customer sites, coordinating technical activities.
15. Supporting marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
