This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a leading industrial automation equipment supplier as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The position is based in the South East of the UK and is a work-from-home role.

The Application Engineer provides expert technical consulting and solutions for key industrial automation applications to the Sales Teams during the pre-sales phase across various industry segments. The role involves proposing solutions with full consideration of commercial aspects and supporting assigned projects. Specific expertise in commissioning, software, and control functionalities is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software domains using the latest technologies.
• Assess the technical feasibility of proposals based on industry and technology segment knowledge.
• Prepare specification lists and write technical proposal components.
• Develop Requirement Specifications in collaboration with customers.
• Ensure project deadlines are met and oversee project realization.
• Report on project activities and developments, ensuring accurate data management.
• Address complaints by developing action plans as necessary.
• Discuss machine concepts to optimize designs and define specifications.
• Support the drafting of account plans.
• Act as an interface between customers and relevant internal departments during pre-sales, in coordination with sales engineers.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to team members for specific products and applications.
• Support compliance with norms and regulations.
• Identify and support winning new projects.
• Manage project commissioning at customer sites, coordinating technical activities.
• Contribute to marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
