Job Description:

We are seeking an Industrial Automation Application Engineer based in South East UK, with a requirement to live within this area.

Note: You must be a full UK citizen residing and working in the UK, with relevant experience in industrial automation applications, including electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading industrial automation equipment supplier. The successful candidate will work from home within the South East UK area.

The Application Engineer will serve as an expert providing technical consulting and solutions for key industrial automation applications to the sales team during pre-sales activities, considering commercial aspects and supporting project execution. Specific expertise in commissioning, software, and controls functionalities is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate multi-technological solutions into detailed designs involving pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software components using the latest technologies.
• Assess the technical feasibility of proposals based on industry and technology segment knowledge.
• Prepare specification lists and technical documentation for customer proposals.
• Develop requirement specifications collaboratively with customers.
• Ensure project deadlines are met and oversee project realization.
• Maintain accurate project data and report on activities related to projects.
• Address customer complaints by establishing action plans as needed.
• Discuss and optimize machine concepts, define specifications, and develop concepts.
• Assist in drafting account plans.
• Act as a technical interface during pre-sales, coordinating with relevant departments and sales engineers.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to team members on specific products and applications.
• Support compliance with norms and regulations.
• Identify opportunities and support project acquisition.
• Manage project commissioning at customer sites, coordinating technical activities.
