Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to join a welcoming primary school in the heart of a vibrant, historical town. This is a rewarding role designed to support the needs of individual pupils with tailored educational plans, helping them navigate their school day and make the most of their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students with specific learning and developmental needs.
  2. Adapt learning materials to support individual learning styles and needs.
  3. Assist in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  4. Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  5. Foster independence and confidence in students by encouraging their participation in all areas of school life.
Qualifications & Skills:
  1. Experience working with children with SEND or other additional needs.
  2. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
