Job Title: Indirect Tax Project Delivery Manager

Location: London

Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) is part of the Group Chief Operating Office (COO), which acts as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver efficiency, control, and transformation goals.

Group Tax’s responsibility is to manage Deutsche Bank’s worldwide tax position, including advising on the tax consequences of transactions, ensuring compliance with local tax obligations, producing tax data for reporting, handling audits and disputes, and working with industry and government bodies on legislation development.

Your key responsibilities

• Evaluate VAT profiles of target jurisdictions to identify process gaps from an indirect tax perspective, liaising with stakeholders to ensure full mapping of indirect tax requirements
• Support local Group Tax and facilitate the roll-out of the Daily Close programme
• Establish post-implementation governance structures with clear roles and responsibilities
• Participate in automating VAT reporting requirements to minimize manual risks
• Coordinate system changes for revenue recording and booking to meet indirect tax reporting needs
• Develop tools to automate and streamline indirect tax calculations and forecasting

Your skills and experience

• Experience in tax advisory within a professional services firm or in-house tax team
• Good knowledge of UK/Europe VAT; banking tax experience is a plus
• Experience with ERP general ledger applications
• Ability to handle escalations and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• Ability to simplify complex technical subjects for non-technical audiences
